NTP Service Added to KD7DMP.net
I’ve added a stratum 0 NTP server to my collection of useful things in the ham shack. I was able to acquire a rubidium/GPS time source via a local government auction recently. So I’ve setup it up on my network and then setup a stratum 1 NTP synced off of that time source for you all to use.
It will be at ntp.kd7dmp.net:123(UDP) moving forward. Feel free to point you devices towards it if you want an alternative time source. Keep in mind that you should use one of the NIST time sources before mine. You can find those IPs at https://tf.nist.gov/tf-cgi/servers.cgi
Or you can always point to pool.ntp.org to grab a larger group of servers. I just wanted to have one up so folks could have a back up.
Comment below if you end up making use of the server, and let me know how it works for you.
